My "awakening" didn't just "happen" one day. I also don't know if I want to call it an "awakening" but instead, shifting into another section of life consciousness.
I was born into a religious, Roman Catholic family. I am Polish (Born in Gdynia) and had received every sacrament, attended religious camps, went on pilgrimages, you name it. I was always a spiritual person as both my mother and father nurtured that side of me. I was at one point, a very religious person. I attended Church, received my sacraments and went through all the motions of a devout Catholic. My perspective quickly changed after a 'witch hunt' at a former high school resulted in me being shamed for (and I quote) "Believing in so many Gods." aka being Catholic in a Christian school. It was only normal to me to pray to Mother Mary or the Angels and Saints.
I began to question my own "Religion" and wondered why it couldn't be simpler. Why was I not able to pray to ONE God? Why was someone telling me HOW to pray? Why was I having to follow these rules? Where did these rules come from? Who made these rules? After I had asked those important pertinent questions and I mean REALLY asked them, I found that I was told many times "Not to ask those types of questions." or "You just have to have faith." as the blanket statement.
The questioning of everything placed me onto a path of DEEP research where I had dove into not just the World Wide Web, but books, seminars and the experiences of other humans. Throughout my life, I have experienced 'phenomena" that I am now able to articulate into logic and understand from a totally different perspective.
Before internet censorship, you would find yourself in the wee hours of the morning researching your researches research if you know what I mean. Sometimes I’d come across a private forum that I would need permission to be a part of, sometimes it’s connecting with random strangers on the internet sharing information. If you end up going deep enough into the spaces of the internet, you begin to access information that is protected. When I started to link actual quantum physics to processes like manifestation, for example, I was floored to understand that it's all interconnected and it's all information that can be easily and readily available to everyone.
You have to wonder when you get a piece of information, how do you know it to be true? Is the person speaking the information credible? If they are credible, are they are good human beings with good morals and ethics? If so, how do you know? How will you ever know? Where did THEY get the information? Where did that person get the information and so on and so on?
Questioning everything is where I find truth comes from. Understanding different perspectives and understanding how other humans view their way of the world is in my opinion, the secret ingredient missing in our narrative today.
Being allowed to question how or why something is made is a curiosity we are born with and it's shaken out of us by those who have sometimes have no answers themselves. Curiosity is shaken out of us through belittling our character with claims that we are not 'credible' enough, smart enough, or good enough to know the truth.
As humans we need to be reminded that the very essence of the word is light(hu(e) man. We are light beings and capable of everything.
