About Fairy Orbs

Fairy Orbs specializes in creating handcrafted, customizable glass jewelry. Each Fairy Orb is individually made by artist Moneca Melnick, who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of British Columbia.

Moneca’s artistic journey has been shaped by a lifelong curiosity about human connection, philosophy, theology, science, art, and the many stories that make us who we are. These explorations have deepened her appreciation for the dignity and uniqueness of every person, as well as the profound ways art can help us remember, express, and celebrate what matters most.

As a practicing Roman Catholic, Moneca’s faith has become an important part of her creative life. She sees creativity as a gift and an opportunity to reflect the beauty, order, wonder, and goodness found in God’s creation.

This understanding informs every Fairy Orb.

Each piece is created not as an object with supernatural properties, but as a work of art and a meaningful keepsake. A Fairy Orb can hold personal significance through photographs, symbols, gemstones, flowers, stars, meaningful objects, or other carefully selected elements. It can commemorate a person, preserve a memory, celebrate a milestone, express love, or serve as a tangible reminder of a prayer or special moment.

Fairy Orbs are spherical glass pendants that can be customized with a wide variety of artistic elements, including precious gemstones, photographs, symbols, and personal keepsakes such as a small amount of cremated remains or a strand of hair.

Every Orb is unique because every story is unique.

Designs range from simple and elegant pieces to intricate luxury collections incorporating elements such as diamond glass accents, luminous stars, and other carefully selected details.
